The Parades!
Boogie and I have been riding in parades since he was 4 years old, the last several years my kids have wanted to ride with me so I tossed them up behind me. These pics are from several different parades where Spencer(4) was riding with me. (Actually we are a foursome as in a couple of these pics I was 7 months pregnant!). Poor Boogie had to carry all that extra weight.

This is my 4 year old daughter Spencer enjoying yet another parade on Boogie.

This was 1999 and it was a rainy wet day but we still went parading! My friend Judy was riding her Arab mare

One Year my son Chase wanted a ride, complete with his six shooters

This pic was our first parade in Birch Hills in 1990. I guess I could of taken off his halter!

In this parade my mom and sister decided to carry our barn sign for us but they wanted to follow us instead of leading. My mom even bought a cowboy hat for the day!
That same year in another parade my friend wanted to ride my black gelding with me so Marilee was riding TC (left) and I was on Boogie.

I also used to spend a lot of time braiding his mane with little white ribbons but it would take about 45 minutes just to do that! I use a different method now!
This is HDD Imperial Oreo and Sable Scherazade in their very first parade! this was in Birch Hills, Aug. 20th, 2000. Chase decided to lead ZeeZee and did a great job. Spencer was the lucky one to ride and poor me had to walk. Hopefully next year we will all be riding!

My son Madison was going to ride but after walking around the grounds before the parade for awhile he decided that was good enough, he wanted to catch candy!
And in July 2001 Spencer and Maddy both made it through the whole parade. Oreo is such a good gal and her 2001 filly Oh What a Night really enjoyed all the attention.
